Stinky, Rare ‘Corpse Flower' Blooming Now at Longwood Gardens

A peculiar, rancid-smelling, corpse flower, nicknamed “Sprout,” has bloomed at Longwood Gardens in Chester County. The bloom only lasts 48 hours and began Monday. The gardens have a 24-hour live stink cam rolling on their website in case you can't make it to see the rare bloom in person.

The Legendary Roots Crew is launching the 13th Annual Roots Picnic as a virtual broadcast experience on Saturday, June 27.

Two Stranded Seals Rescued, Released by Brigantine's Marine Mammal Stranding Center

Even during a global pandemic, animals are still being rescued along the Jersey Shore. And that includes two seals who spent some time in Brigantine.

Monday, two seals from Brigantine’s Marine Mammal Stranding Center were released from Sandy Hook Park in North Jersey's Gateway National Recreation Area.

One was a 300-pound male harp seal and the other was a female grey seal pup.
